Product Support and Firmware Update Policy Announcement for GPON ONT Series

Effective Date: August 3, 2026
Applicability: All GPON ONT (Optical Network Terminal) models (like F6600S, F670S, and so on)distributed globally (including specific provisions for the Brazilian market).

Dear Valued Customers and Partners,

To ensure the ultimate network stability, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance of our GPON ONT products, we hereby officially announce our Product Support and Firmware Update Policy. This policy outlines our commitment to hardware lifecycles, software maintenance, and security vulnerability remediation.

1. Product Support Lifecycle

We define our product support stages to help operators and end-users plan their network upgrades:

  • Full Support Phase: Begins from the official product launch date. Covers hardware warranty, technical support, bug fixes, performance optimization, and new feature updates.
  • End of Sale (EOS): The date when the product is no longer available for purchase. Technical support and security patches remain active.
  • End of Software Support (EOSS): We commit to providing software updates and critical security patches for a minimum of five (5) years from the product launch date, or at least three (3) years post-EOS.
  • End of Life (EOL): All official technical support, RMA services, and firmware maintenance will cease.

2. Firmware Update & Cybersecurity Policy

Firmware updates are vital for network security and interoperability with OLTs (Optical Line Terminals).

  • Security Vulnerability Remediation: In compliance with international standards and Brazil’s ANATEL Act 77/2021 (Cybersecurity Requirements for Telecommunications Equipment), we actively monitor vulnerabilities. Critical security patches will be released within 30 days of vulnerability verification.
  • Update Delivery: Firmware images, release notes, and upgrade instructions will be hosted securely on our official website support portal.
  • Operator Customization: For ISP/Operator-customized ONTs, firmware updates will be coordinated directly with the respective network operations team to pass local OLT interoperability testing (OMCI compliance).

3. Special Provisions for the Brazilian Market (ANATEL Compliance)

In strict adherence to ANATEL regulations and the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (CDC), the following localized policies apply to devices deployed in Brazil:

  • ANATEL Label Validity: All firmware updates will strictly preserve the approved RF parameters, output power, and protocols authorized under the ANATEL Certificate of Conformity. No update will alter the device’s regulatory compliance status.
  • Localized Technical Support: Technical documentation, firmware release notes for critical updates, and customer support interfaces are available in Brazilian Portuguese.
  • E-Labeling Integrity: For models utilizing electronic labeling (E-label), the firmware will permanently maintain the non-removable ANATEL logo, barcode, and certificate number accessible within a maximum of 3 steps in the Web GUI without requiring passwords.

4. How to Access Support & Firmware

  • For End-Users: Please contact your local Internet Service Provider (ISP) for firmware upgrades, as custom configurations may be overwritten by generic firmware.
  • For Operators & Distributors: Please contact your designated Account Manager to download official firmware images and OMCI configuration guides.
